I have done the laundry, and I have emptied the laundry and sorted it by things that don't want to be tumble dryered, and I have wondered why I even own those things anyway, and I have used the dryer settings on the rest, and now I'm running a second load of laundry.

And I fiddled about with the weighing scales too, to try and figure out if things were the correct weights, and so far they are. You have to take half the washing load out and dry it in half loads, and that takes two hours each, so this is not very practical, compared to faster things, but is very helpful, compared to not having a working dryer.

It is super quiet, and the automatic dryer sensor seems to actually work, since the stuff came out dry. And you never notice how much technology is advancing until you have to replace the big appliances for the first time in a decade or so.
