Home from the Hub!
Was it good?
Well I signed up for a gold ticket for the Hub 2
which cost £195
and I'm in the second half hundred.
... is it a hundred or a hundred fifty of those they're selling?
Anyways, lots of people wanted back again, including me.
I met John Barrowman and talked in full sentences and got sentences back that included "Good for you" and "And you've got it written on your boobs. Fantastic!"
I saw GDL singing. Very drunk. With his shirt going up so there was a gap.
It's not the most GDL skin we saw by a long way, yet somehow I likes it more.
I said hi to Kai Owen again. He is still nice.
I talked to Naoko Mori and said how I'd just watched 2-13 and it was brilliant and we talked about how Tosh should/n't come back. Because she could but it was such a great ending.
Also there were other guest people there. I got photos with and photos of and autographs and all.
I took very few notes because I was busy being in the room and not busy being fiddly and distant. Which is pretty cool.
I got many many compliments on my outfits. I actually looked as good as I'd planned. I'm so doing that again.
Also I got compliments on my dancing. Which is freaking weird. I mean, I still only have enough coordination for three out of four limbs at once, which is a whole limbs worth of improvement over when I started. My stamina has improved a lot though. I danced a whole lot and I can still move. I only have one joint that doesn't hurt and I think I have bruises on every main area of leg but, hey, still mobile!
I talked. Without stuttering. A little on my name on Sunday but in general I just talked.
I have discovered I don't actually have much to say. Got to work on that part.
I haven't read Agamemnon, or Wind in the Willows. I read the notes in the back of Agamemnon and up to the first messengers speech in the play. I read up to page 170 in WitW. I reckon from there I can fake it well enough for class Tuesday. And hey, Tuesday afternoon, I'm sure I'll have time to finish the texts before then...
I so shouldn't go to conventions in term time. Like, seriously. Shouldn't.
... I haven't actually checked my calendar for The Hub 2. It's possible I'm double booked even.
That would be a bit of a problem.
... now I'm trying to think of something I'd want to do more than go to another con like this.
... a con like this with more talking and some thinky panels and more guests and stuff?
... a con like this where the stuff I dreamed about GDL on Saturday night actually happened?
... er, yes, anyway...
So, I'm back, I'm tired, I've got letters about student finance and employer insurance to deal with, and I hurt in many places.
Also I got utterly *rudeword* soaked on the five minute walk between the bus stop and my flat.
But I'm happy.
That was a nice weekend.
